New Patient Experience
Except in the case of an emergency, a new patient will see our dental hygienist and meet Dr. Molnar. The hygienist will
- Thoroughly clean your teeth and gum tissue
- Take a series of digital x-rays
- Explain the most modern techniques of oral home care
- Oral cancer screening
- Plan and set-up a plaque-control program
- Periodontal evaluation
The new patient will then receive a thorough examination from Dr. Molnar that will include:
- Cosmetic evaluation
- Occlusal exam that determines the biting forces on your teeth and indications for corrections.
- Temporo-Mandibular Joint (TMJ) exam to determine the health of the jaw joint and what treatment modalities may be designed to eliminate pain, noises, grinding and clenching.
- Cavity detection
- Halitosis or bad breath detection and treatment.
- Periodontal examination of the gum tissue and bone that supports your teeth.
Your initial appointment will also include a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. Occasionally, treatment can be done the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:
- A list of medications you are presently taking
- If you have medical or dental insurance, bring the necessary completed forms. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.
- If your previous dentist or physician has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our office. If there is not enough time, please pick them up and bring them to our office. If additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.
IMPORTANT: All patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e. heart medication, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.)
Scheduling
Our practice is open Monday through Thursday and alternate Saturdays. We will schedule your appointment as promptly as possible. If you have pain or an emergency situation, every attempt will be made to see you that day.

Dental Insurance
Your dental plan is a form of compensation provided by your employer. You can expect the carrier (insurance company) to reimburse you for a portion of our fee. That portion is determined by the contract between your employer and the insurance company. The higher the premium paid by your company, the more generous the reimbursement.
Although we are not a party to the contractual arrangement with your insurance company, we do want to help you receive the maximum reimbursement to which you are entitled. As a convenience to you we will help you process your insurance claims in order for you to receive this maximum benefit. We will also gladly provide dental x-rays and a written diagnostic report should your insurance company have any questions about the services provided.
At all times, you can be confident that we will always provide you with our best services without regard to the limitations imposed by your insurance coverage. To do otherwise would violate our contract with you - a contract we feel morally obliged to honor.
We try our best to stay on schedule to minimize your waiting. Due to the fact Dr. Molnar provides many types of dental services, various circumstances may lengthen the time allocated for a procedure. Emergency cases can also arise and cause delays. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
Please call 914-631-0884 with any questions or to schedule an appointment.

Infection controls are universal precautions protect clients and staff alike. Everyone benefits from rigorous infection control - you, your dentist, and the dental team. The cornerstone in a good and safe dental practice is the element of trust. You should feel free to discuss this topic with Dr. Molnar and receive a straightforward answer.
Dr. Molnar and our entire team follow procedures recommended by several federal agencies: the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). These measures include:
- Disinfectant hand soap
